“Oh, Mary, this is a black art to change your shape. No, I cannot, I cannot stop my mouth; its Gods work I do”-Abigail. I chose this quote because she was clearly pretending that there was a possessed bird in the ceiling and fooled everyone except for Proctor and Marry. This shows how gullible the court and how she could fool the court in her favor.

The character that earned the spotlight this time was Abigail. I chose her because she easily fooled the court many times and she killed so many innocent people. I predict that she would be the one to be hanged since she killed so many innocent people.

“that woman will never lie, Mr. Danforth. ” it was said by john proctor. He places all of his faith in his wife, making her seem like a truthful person. Its important to the story because there was no way there was no way to be proven innocent without other people on your side. This means even though John Proctor is cheating on her he still loves her John Proctor will defend her because he knows she is innocent

I think Judge Danforth earned the spotlight this week. I think later in this play hes gonna get ran out of town because he put so many in jail and/or killed. He is responsible for running the trials and deciding if the people of Salem who are accused of witchcraft are really witches but cant see the fact hes being deceived by young girls. I chose him because he has all this power but hes being tricked by teenagers

“I cannot speak but I am doubted every moments judged for lies, as though I come into a court” Proctor. It’s ironic because as far as we know it only person Elizabeth but himself. Elizabeth and John Proctor are having trust issues. It’s important to the story because I feel like in the later acts Proctor going to do the deal with the witch problems. He knows he does bad things behind my back but he’s trying to fix those problems.

The character that stood out to me was he thinks he does to find out if someone is a witch is funny. For example knowing your commandments not everyone would know them by heart. I feel like someone will go up to him and tell him that he is a fraud. I chose him because he is turning point of the story he gets to decide this song if there is witchcraft happening in the midst of this
